Living Off-Grid full-time in a trailer. Bluetti AC200L. My solar array and solar generator set up
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.28 дней назад
Here is my off-grid setup. I live full-time in a trailer completely disconnected from city power or water. I live off of solar power connected to solar generators or off-grid power stations. Most of my solar generators are Bluetti. The mail solar generator I use is a Bluetti AC200L but I often supplement that power with an AC200Max along with other solar generators like the AC70. My Solar panel...

So, we have made a hard turn from the original plan to live full-time on a sailboat and travel the world. The boiling point in hostilities in the world made us re-think this idea and we decided it was not a good idea anymore. So we decided that if we could not live off-grid on a sailboat the next best thing was to buy a lot of forested rural property and build ourselves an Off-Grid homestead. P...

    Just curious at 7:34 looking at Bluetti website the DC input is ((900W Max.OCV 10-145VDC, 15A)) So I'm taking that as whatever is higher Watts/Amps is the limit So I'm thinking for a 12v panel, 180W would be roughly its maximum Now the part where I'm confused, what limits the feed from a 12v battery to only 100W instead of its maximum ability of 180W? Does the Bluetti sense its a battery connection instead of solar panels and artificially limit the power draw. and wondering does it still limit the power draw to 100w if its been fed by a 24V battery which would be around 360w to hit the 15a input limit Or eg at a camper trailer im looking at buying it has a 12v 100ah battery with a 1000W since wave inverter. Would it be better and quicker to just charge the Bluetti via the AC system

Rain is rare and I wish for my childhood days when summer was tolerable. You should move here if you like hot and humid tropical weather lol. My biggest issue with the SP033 solar panels is the legs. I don't use them. I'm figuring out a way to make a cheap adjustable stand, probably out of pvc. In the meantime I just find something to put under them to prop them up, like empty boxes. I'd like the panel cable longer to have more panel spacing when hooking in series but I have an extension cable so I can keep the battery in a shaded and covered location.

    Hi, I received the EcoFlow alternator charger with a Delta2Max bundle. Can I buy a 12v/24v LiFePo4 and use the EF alt charger to charge up the LiFepo4 battery without getting separate components like, battery charger, solar charge controller, pure sine inverter. Also to use the LiFePo4 battery as an "extra" battery to extend the runtime of the D2M using the alterator chager. Tia

    I also enjoy how down to earth and plain your explanations are. Part of me thinks they are selling the power stations, then hoping to sell you an overpriced backup, lol. I’m thinking of getting to redodo mini’s. Can’t you get an adapter to go from the battery to the solar input? If so, putting 2x 12 volt in series gives 24 volts plugged into the solar input. The tiny 12 volt sockets are more like a trickle charge, but would work for low loads like the fridge.

  • @theshepard22
    @theshepard22 6 дней назад

    Well, there is a lot to think about here really with combining lifepo4s with a solar generator. Youve got wxtra losses happening with the inverter and a lot of wear on the unit to constantly supply the much larger standalone batteries. Im thinking its a better situation to have more reliable power coming into the lifepo4s first, then supplying the Bluetti. Using rhe cigarette plug and dc charging would get around the inverter losses and where on that component. I may be wrong though. What do you guys think?

  • @outbackeddie
    @outbackeddie 7 дней назад

    Bluetti makes expensive panels, but you get what you pay for. A 200-watt panel that puts out 95% of its rated output is a rare find. I'm a buyer just as soon as it goes on sale.

  • @rockesark9689
    @rockesark9689 8 дней назад

    I've done this for about two years and it works great. I normally recharge my LiFePo4 battery with solar when on the road using a controller. I would caution against using any battery charger since it could over charge and damage the battery. I'd recommend using a charger made for lifepo4 batteries just to be on the safe side.

    I bought this R600 and the R4000 with the 600 watt solar panel. They work ok but have a few issues. On the R4000 I use it as a large UPS and even when plugged in the 120 VAC the R4000 in random cases will not automatically charge and allow the unit to go to 5% before shutting off. When it works correctly it keeps the battery charged as needed. On the 600 watt solar panel I never got more than 380 watt fro. It. I emailed LO-POWER oh I mean Allpowers and got the run around to take videos and do this and do that. It is obvious they don't stand by their product. The panel also have started wearing quickly on the fabric between the crease where you fold the panel. Their customer service from what I experienced is pathetic.
